Inspect Edge accurately calculates inspection scores using NSPIRE’s scoring model, and your score is automatically determined upon completion. NSPIRE’s auto-fail feature applies only when a property would otherwise pass with a loss of 30-39.9 points in the unit. Exempt from scoring are certain items outlined in the NSPIRE protocol, (e.g., smoke detectors, CO alarms) Additionally, deficiencies not explicitly noted in the UPCS inspection protocol, (e.g., guardrails and fire doors), won’t impact scores until October 2024. While these deficiencies are included in your report, they won’t affect your official score. Repeated deficiencies in a specific area are counted only once, such as multiple exposed electrical connections (missing cover plates) in a unit, which will be counted only once in your score.

Inspection data can be seamlessly synchronized via our ‘smart sync’ feature to our secure server whenever internet connectivity is available. Please note that syncing may take up to 2 minutes, depending on the volume of data. For optimal performance, we recommend syncing under Wi-Fi conditions. Syncing under mobile data may lead to delays due to variable network speeds.

To ensure the utmost security during data transfer among multiple inspectors, our system employs a robust two-way sync mechanism. When Inspector A initiates syncing from the server, their data is first uploaded to the server. Subsequently, the server transmits the data previously uploaded by Inspector B to Inspector A’s tablet, ensuring a comprehensive and reliable transfer of inspection data.

Upon receipt of your payment via credit card or check, your account will promptly be activated, and you will promptly receive an email containing your login credentials. To facilitate your familiarity with the software, we will offer either a recorded training video or a live Zoom training session for you and your users. Additionally, according to your specific plan and access level, you will be granted the authority to input building and unit information into our system, or alternatively, our technicians can perform this task for you for an extra fee.

A “Per User” or “Teams” inspection purchase will qualify for one free Apple iPad. The iPad will come from a third-party vendor such as Amazon or Ebay and will be a used iPad. The condition of iPad will be unknown by Inspect Edge, although they generally listed under the conditions: acceptable, good and very good. Inspect Edge will not be responsible for the condition of the iPad and will not accept any returns or exchanges of the iPad.
